'Dangerous' tree can not be felled

Rolf and Jackie Griffiths objected to a recommendation for a tree preservation order (TPO) on the beech tree which they fear is putting their daughter Tilly's life in danger.
Eight-year-old Tilly, who suffers from muscle-wasting disease Spinal Muscular Atrophy, has had the bedroom specially adapted to meet her needs.
The tree is situated to the front of the couple's home and business, Prospect House Guest House on the A520 in Cheddleton.
Councillors voted 12-1 in favour of imposing a Tree Preservation Order.
But Mr Griffiths said that the family would appeal against the decision.
